- What is God saying?
- In order to enter God’s holy place, we must have clean hands and a pure heart. In light of our present circumstances, being in a mortal human body with a human nature, it’s almost impossible to have clean hands, a pure heart, and don’t lie. However, we have the Holy Spirit to step in for us. He will groan a prayer for us even when there are no words that can be expressed.
“But if we hope for what we don’t see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance. At the same, time the Spirit also helps us in our weakness, because we don’t know how to pray for what we need. But the Spirit intercedes along with our groans that cannot be expressed in words. The one who searches our hearts knows what the Spirit has in mind. The Spirit intercedes for God’s people the way God wants him to.

- What stands out in this scripture?
- How can I apply this scripture to life today?
- I can strive to live a life worthy to enter God’s holy place because I have to Holy Spirit to guide me. Since Jesus is the Messiah, He became a ransom to be our Redeemer. That’s not to say I have free reign to behave in whatever way I want and think I can get away with it. I have freedom to live in God’s holy place because of it! I choose freedom, every day!
- How can I live in light of this truth?
- I can be salt and light for lost souls to find their way to God because of Jesus’ precious gift of salvation. I don’t have to live in lies, deception, and an impure heart. Jesus’ actions on the cross and resurrection made it possible to live for Him; not myself.
