Loving God is Knowing God

Proverbs- 1 John scripture image

GOD knows! You can’t hide anything from HIM. So, to me, it’s mind-blowing… even though HE knows us, intimately; no matter how wretched we are, HE still loves us enough to give us a Savior to reconcile us to Himself.

Do you know GOD? By that question, I mean, do you LOVE GOD? Because, if you LOVE GOD, you’re HIS child; a child of GOD. Because of this love of GOD/Jesus/Holy Spirit, we have eternal life in heaven through HIM.

What’s holding you back or limiting you from knowing GOD/loving GOD? Why is it holding you back/limiting you from knowing GOD/loving GOD? Nothing in this world is powerful enough to snatch us from GOD and HIS love for us. HIS children. The only thing is, us limiting ourselves because of some fear. Fear is a liar and is from the devil. Stop believing the lies of the devil. Free yourself from your own prison of fear.

Dear YAH,  El Shaddai, Emmanuel, I pray for those who know YOU, but are holding themselves back and that they would allow you to break those chains. I pray for those who don’t know YOU… I pray that they will know YOU… I pray that they accept YOU as their one true Savior and GOD. In Jesus’ name, amen.

New is Really Old!

Jesus commands us to love one another. It’s a vital component to our Christan livlihood. Why? Because, it’s how people can tell we are Christians.

We show we are servants of God by our pure lives, our understanding, patience, and kindness, by the Holy Spirit, by true love, by speaking the truth, and by God’s power. We use our right living to defend ourselves against everything. 2 Corinthians 6:6‭-‬7 as well as,

My children, we should love people not only with words and talk, but by our actions and true caring. 1 John 3:18

One thing to think about here is this:

Sometimes people say, “Here is something new!” But actually it is old; nothing is ever truly new. Ecclesiastes 1:10

New is actually old. We’ve been told this for a very long time.

Yes, there are different kinds of love. I’ve written a blog series about it before. You can find it here on the blog by searching with the word “love” and a list will pop up.

This post is talking about old versus new. God has talked about love from the very beginning of His word. In fact, one of the 10 commandments is about love.

And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength.
Deuteronomy 6:5

When we truly love God as He commands, all the rest of our Christian living will fall into place. Because, when we love God with every part of our being, we don’t have time for anything else. It puts our lives into perspective. We will pour out the love He gives to us to everyone else. Even our enemies.

Let’s begin this new year with something old! Let’s really love one another as GOD loves His dear children!

Thank You, Dear Father God, did Your love for us. Use it’s to love others as YOU do. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Next blog post will be more about new things! Subscribe to this blog to be notified of new devo posts.

God’s Love For The World

Scripture

This scripture is part of a discourse between Jesus and Nicodemus. Jesus was explaining to him, Nicodemus, how Jesus, himself, is the Son of God and that He, Jesus, was to be the Savior of the world. Jesus was explaining to Nicodemus how God loved the world so much that whoever believes in Jesus shouldn’t perish but have everlasting life.

This is the ultimate act of love. Jesus giving Himself as our Savior because God loves us so much he doesn’t want to see us perish. So much grace and mercy here.

God is such a merciful and gracious God. What an awesomely amazing gift to us.

How does that affect you?

Prayer

Dear Heavenly Abba Yah; how amazingly wonderful You are. Thank You to infinity and beyond. There’s not enough thank yous to cover how much I appreciate this gift of salvation through Jesus Christ, the Messiah. I pray that the readers of this blog have accepted You as their savior and live it out in their lives. I pray that we can be the best disciples of Jesus to share His Good News with those around us. I pray in Jesus’ name, amen.

God, Who Gave Himself For Me

galatians-220Day 9 – God, Who Gave Himself For Me

“Surely as we meditate on the love of the Lord, our hearts burn within us, and we long to love Him more.” -C. H. Spurgeon

Paul said in Galatians 2:20:

I was put to death on the cross with Christ, and I do not live anymore — it is Christ who lives in me. I still live in my body, but I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave himself to save me.

When we accept Jesus as our Savior and we’re born again we aren’t who we used to be. Christ living in me causes me to desire to live by faith. There’s nothing I could ever do to repay Him.

However, we’re called to praise, worship and glorify Him, as well as, share The Good News of Salvation.

I don’t know about you, but, when something that grand and awesome happens I want to shout it from the mountaintops and rooftops to let everyone know of this great and awesome gift.

Meditate on Him. Pray and speak to God in love. Long for Him! Show Him you love Him.

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Yahweh, I pray for the fire in my belly to grip me in such a way that I want to share Your great gift with everyone. I want everyone to experience Your love. In Jesus’ name, amen.

God’s Love

Day 3 – God’s Love

God’s Love has far reaching boundaries. There’s nothing so bad that it imagewill stop God from loving us. Love in action is doing when doing needs to be done, without question.

I like this quote from Charles Swindoll: “Real love detects needs and does what is best for others without being told.”

John 3:16 shows the ultimate act of love. Jesus gave of himself as a sacrifice to save us from a sinful and painful eternal life.
