New is Really Old!

Jesus commands us to love one another. It’s a vital component to our Christan livlihood. Why? Because, it’s how people can tell we are Christians.

We show we are servants of God by our pure lives, our understanding, patience, and kindness, by the Holy Spirit, by true love, by speaking the truth, and by God’s power. We use our right living to defend ourselves against everything. 2 Corinthians 6:6‭-‬7 as well as,

My children, we should love people not only with words and talk, but by our actions and true caring. 1 John 3:18

One thing to think about here is this:

Sometimes people say, “Here is something new!” But actually it is old; nothing is ever truly new. Ecclesiastes 1:10

New is actually old. We’ve been told this for a very long time.

Yes, there are different kinds of love. I’ve written a blog series about it before. You can find it here on the blog by searching with the word “love” and a list will pop up.

This post is talking about old versus new. God has talked about love from the very beginning of His word. In fact, one of the 10 commandments is about love.

And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength.
Deuteronomy 6:5

When we truly love God as He commands, all the rest of our Christian living will fall into place. Because, when we love God with every part of our being, we don’t have time for anything else. It puts our lives into perspective. We will pour out the love He gives to us to everyone else. Even our enemies.

Let’s begin this new year with something old! Let’s really love one another as GOD loves His dear children!

Thank You, Dear Father God, did Your love for us. Use it’s to love others as YOU do. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Next blog post will be more about new things! Subscribe to this blog to be notified of new devo posts.

Giving!

Giving… Jesus said, “It’s more blessed to give than to receive.” No matter what is going on in our lives or around us; it’s the will of God that we give a helping hand to those in need. Dear Yahweh, Adonai Abba, I lift up all the physically ill, spiritually in need, mentally stressed, and financial stressed. I claim victory over all the chaos. I trust You to meet each need when you see fit. I pray that You will be honored & glorified in all that is happening. You’ve already said, “It is finished!” I pray we let go of any strongholds in our lives and step aside and let You do your job. Thank You, in advance, for hearing and answering this prayer. In Jesus’ name, amen.

The Time Is Now!

Seek Unity

Believers are never told to become one; we already are one, and are expected to act like it. – Joni Eareckson Tada Seek Unity. Be in harmony. We need to stop making everything in life about us and just be in unity and be in harmony with God. It’s all about God. Everything points to God. We are all parts of One body, Christ, The Church. What does unity & harmony look like for you and in your life? Me? Yeah, I’m guilty of not always being in harmony. Life is overwhelming, when I try to go at it in my own steam. I need God. Without Him, I’m not even worthy enough to say I’m nothing. I’m less than nothing. Jesus makes me who & what I am. What about you? Thank You, Adonai, for the gift of salvation and a home in Heaven for eternity, when that time comes. I pray the same for all those who read this. In Jesus’ name, amen!

Death on the Cross

Pure Reverence

View this post on Instagram

Passion Week – Day 3. Jesus is at Simon’s house. A women poured an expensive bottle of perfume over Jesus’ head. The others were disgruntled at her doing so and chastised her for it. They didn’t understand the gravity of what she did. But, Jesus did. He told them to leave her alone. She was showing him more love than they could imagine. Instead of waiting until He was dead to prep His body for burial, she was doing it now. This is pure revrent worship of God. How many of us can say we show pure revrent worship to God? I’d venture to guess, not many. I’m guilty as charged. My challenge to you, today, is to pour out pure revrent worship to God. Afterall, He died and rose again for each of us. He redeemed us of our sins. Our Redeemer ??✝️?‍♀️??

The Temple – House of Prayer

Passion Week – Day 2 Jesus arrives at and enters the temple to find money changers inside and drives them out because the temple is a house if prayer. He, then, began to teach daily in the temple. However, the religious leaders & teachers weren’t happy about it. They began plans to kill Jesus. They wanted to stop Him. But, they couldn’t think of anything. The people hung on Jesus’ every word. We have to contemplate what the impact of this is. Why did the religious leaders want to stop Jesus so bad they want to kill Him over it? Why did the people hang on Jesus’ every word? What did the people gain from listening to and following through with what the learned from listening to Jesus? Let me know your thoughts on this scripture. Me? Yeah, Jesus was teaching of the benefits of turning from the pagan gods and surrendering to the One true God pulling from the old testament and current state of what’s to come (prophecy). People liked what they heard, why? Because Jesus wasn’t teaching about man-made ritualistic rules. What else? Your turn!

Live to Please God

Live to please God, not man! If you question God’s will for your life… Here you go! Please God, not man! Yeah, I know, living in this world is tough. Our attitude makes a major impact on how tough life can be. Take it in stride. Keep moving. Don’t take everything personal. You’re giving yourself too much credit. Everyone is fighting a battle. It’s not about us. Don’t let the devil get into your head with his lies. He wants, more than anything, to keep you distracted with lies so you’ll be living in chaos. That’s his world, not ours. ?️In Jesus’ name, devil, get out, you do not belong here! Jesus wins! ✝️? Amen! I challenge you to post a praise to Jesus and kick the devil out! Share with me so I can go and praise with you!

Grace and Peace

Grace & Peace. Jesus reconciled us to God because it was God’s plan. Without Jesus, we would be destined to hell for eternity. Thank God, He didn’t want that for us. What are you grateful for today? Me? Yeah, I’m grateful that we have our needs met. A roof over our heads, food to eat, a place to sleep, good health, and our faith in God! I say we because, I’m referring to all of us who fit in that category. I don’t normally say a prayer in these posts. However, I feel that’s it’s time to do it, today. Thank You, Abba Yah, Adonai, for our salvation, and our mortal needs met. I lift up all those who are infected by this pandemic virus. I pray a solution be put into effect and that all this craziness to be resolved. I pray that life gets back to some semblance of peace & order. Thank You, again. In Jesus’ name, amen.
