Same Power

Luke_1_37 image

He moved mountains when He spoke, He brought the dead to life, He made water into wine, He made food appear where there was none or very little. He healed all sorts of illnesses where there was no cure. For example, he made the lame to walk, the blind to see, and the deaf to hear, etc.

He knows all, He hears all, He sees all, and He is everywhere all the time. In fact, His Holy Spirit lives in us! He gives us spiritual life.

There’s so much more I’m probably missing. He is so mind-blowingly awesome!

Who am I to question what Yahweh can or can not do? He is the miracle maker.

He loves. He saves. He lives in the hearts of those who believe and accept Him as their personal Savior. Do you? Have you? If so, tell me about it. I want to hear your story.

Chains Will Be Broken

Acts_16_25-26 image

That’s some powerful praise and worship that happened while Paul and Silas were imprisoned. It set all the prisoners free; not only physically, but, spiritually as well. All their bonds were broken. Physically and spiritually.

Further into that scripture, not only did this praise and worship free the prisoners but also, the prison guard. When the guard realized what was happening he went to Paul and Silas and fell to his knees, seeking to be saved. He asked Paul and Silas what he must do to be saved. In v.31 they told the guard: “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved – you and all the people in your house.”

Folks, do you find yourselves in bondage/chains? You can find freedom and be loosed of those chains of bondage. All you need to do is “believe” in Jesus Christ, the One and only True Saviour of the world. Not only for yourself, but for all those around you. Just like in the scripture, praise and worship Yahweh, publicly, and allow the power of the Holy Spirit to work in the hearts of all those around you. True and pure praise and worship is powerful enough to break the chains of bondage.

Join me in lifting our hearts, spirits, and minds in praise and worship to Yahweh, and be freed.

Comment and let me know how Yahweh is working in your life. What season of life are you in?

Me: I’m on the edge of Winter/Spring. Yahweh is working His plan in my life. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Something big is coming. I can feel it. I am beginning to see something powerful through the fog. It’s hard to make out, but I can feel it, deep in my spirit. How about you?

Brokenness

Matthew_22_34-40 image

There’s always, always, at least one, who pushes buttons and boundaries. Isn’t there? I know I did when I was a kid. I paid the price for it, too.

Well, the Pharisees and Sadducees were no different back then. They wanted to know their boundaries.

They wanted to know what was most important. So, they asked Jesus as much. In today’s scripture, the question is this: which command is the most important? The answer: Jesus said: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. This is the first and most important command.”

In our brokenness, we struggle with so much in life. We even struggle spiritually.

We seem to live in our brokenness. We carry it on our chest like a badge. As if it’s an honor to be a victim.

Friends, I’m here to share with you that we don’t have to live in this brokenness. We have the victory through Jesus’ blood. We can claim it. I do! I claim victory over my brokenness.

We need to allow the Holy Spirit to fill us to overflowing with that victory to praise, honor, glorify, and love Yahweh with all our soul, all our mind, and all our heart.

That’s not to say we won’t face trials and opposition in life, because, we will. It’s when we allow Yahweh to have control and surrender fully to Him that we find peace knowing that He will bring us through to the other side.

Where do you find yourself today? Are you stuck in brokenness? If so, allow Yahweh to work in that brokenness to bring you to a place of healing and peace. Please comment your story and bless others in blessing yourself.

Prayers and Promises

Psalm_115-1 image

Because of His grace and truth, to HIS great name, we give glory.

There’s more than meets the eye in this verse. Here’s what I found in my research:

Because God promised to deliver them, not for their sakes, but for his Name, (Isaiah 48:11 – I do this for myself, for my own sake. I will not let people speak evil against me, and I will not let some god take my glory.), therefore they connect their prayer on this promise.

Let no opinion of our own merits have any place in our prayers or in our praises. All the good we do, is done by the power of his grace; and all the good we have, is the gift of his mere mercy, and he must have all the praise. Are we in pursuit of any mercy, and wrestling with God for it, we must take encouragement in prayer from God only.
Matthew Henry

How is His grace and mercy blessing you right now? Comment and let me know. Let’s bless others as we’re blessed in where we are right now.

Me? I personally have to really work at focusing on Adonai. Because life is the way it is around the world right now and being pressed from all sides, it’s easy to get distracted and forget Yahweh’s grace and mercy. I find myself withdrawing from the world and drawing closer to HIM. He is my comfort, my protector, my all!

Purposeful Life

Psalm_100_1-2_4-5

With all the social issues going on around us we need to bring out focus back to our Creator, Yahweh. So, this message is strong.

Man was created to live and breathe in an atmosphere of praise-filled worship to The Creator.

Without Yahweh, we are nothing less than self-centered, self-pitying, and complaining (see Gen.3:9–12). But upon receiving salvation and life through Jesus Christ, our daily living calls us to prayer and the Word for fellowship and wisdom in living.

Our daily drawing near to God in that union is to be showered with praise: “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving And into His courts with praise.” Such a walk of praise-filled acceptance to Him will nurture deep devotion, faithful obedience, and constant joy.

We can move into each day that we live knowing that a praise walk is not wild and offhand, nor decreased to insignificant ritual but, a walk of life-saving power is available to those of us who believe in Jesus.

The Holy Spirit is a renewing spirit. The Bible says: He saved us because of His mercy. It was not because of good deeds we did to be right with him. He saved us through the washing that made us new people through the Holy Spirit (Titus 3:5).

In order to be renewed by the Spirit, the author, Sherwood Wirt, in his book, Afterglow says,

“We must go to the cross, not only to kneel in reverence, not only to bow in commitment, not only to pick up our cross and carry it but, to be crucified.”

Self-crucifixion means that Christ will send His power into us as individuals by the same Spirit. But, first, as another author/evangelist, Richard Bennet says,

“The Christian has to attend his own funeral–willingly.”

I know, that sounds creepy. But, it’s the truth, isn’t it? We must attend our own carnal spiritual funeral, first, willingly.

I know that is a tough thing to do. However, it’s required to live a Christ-centered life.

I struggle too! You’re not alone.

God Almighty

Luke_1_37 imageWhere do you find yourself in life?

Last night my husband and I attended the 2nd, in a series, Bible study at our home church. It’s titled: Growing in God.

I noticed a trend in the responses of the attendees. The trend was that we all wanted to focus on our relationship with God and have a better prayer life, as well as, being in His Word more.

The other thing? We get in our own way on our path to maturity in our faith and believing in an all-powerful God who can do anything.

We tend to think that we have to do everything ourselves to make things happen when and where and how we want. We do not trust Yahweh to allow Him to take the pilot’s seat in our lives.

We need to step back, take a deep look at our faith walk, and take notice of what’s going on.

Ask yourself these questions:

  • What am I doing?
  • Am I in my own way?
  • What do I need to do to step aside and let Yahweh have control?
  • Do I trust Yahweh? If not, why?

Once you work out the answers to these questions apply them to your life.

Remember, Yahweh can do anything!

What’s In A Leader?

1_Peter_5_3-5 image

Real leadership is humility. Jesus said: Whoever wants to become first among you must serve the rest of you like a slave. In the same way, the Son of Man did not come to be served. He came to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many people.” (Matthew 20:27-28). Therefore, as we assume the role of leadership, we should do so with the attitude of Christ.

True leaders are servants first.

What are you doing to be a leader/servant? What style of leader/servant do you have?

Money, Do You Love It?

1-Timothy-6_9-12

Some do! It has gotten many people into trouble. It can and will and has destroyed people.

Let’s clear up the misuse of this scripture of loving money. Shall we? Yes, we shall.

Many interpret this scripture to mean: having money is what causes evil and all that entails.

Let’s look at that scripture verse again. V. 10: The love of money causes all kinds of evil. Some people have left the faith because they wanted to get more money, but they have caused themselves much sorrow.

It says, the love of money causes all kinds of evil. It’s the love of money. To love money and crave it like it is a drug addiction. Scripture is talking about the desires involved with money. That addiction creates zombies who wreak havoc on life.

When someone is financially endowed it’s what they do with that money that determines whether they’re loving money or using it to bring glory and honor to Yahweh.

If you’re familiar with scripture, you recall, it talks about tithing a 10th of everything we having coming in. That goes for money, food, etc. Consumables.

We should not have a desire to hoard money like it’s the breath of life.

I’ve seen stories where people have found some cash they forgot they had because they hid it in their belongings and later decided to purge and clean up their space to only be surprised to find the cash.

Then there are those who spend money like they have a hole in their pockets. People overspend out of the want of “stuff” that ends up buried in other stuff to be forgotten about because society has this mentality to “keep up with the Joneses”. This mentality has caused so many to be in serious and severe debt. That debt has them under the control of the debt collectors.

At one time, in my past life, I also had this mentality. It’s a slippery slope that one is unable to stop on their own.

The Holy Spirit, Yahweh, Jesus is the only way to have control. Seek HIM, The Great “I AM!” Surrender to HIM and allow Him to help you. HIS Word, the Holy Bible, is a great place to start!

How’s your financial status? What do you do to stay in control?

Wise Words

Proverbs_1_1-7 image

The wise accept when other’s share wisdom because the wise can add to their own wisdom.

Just like it says in verse 7, knowledge begins with respect for the Lord, but fools hate wisdom and discipline.

Only a fool would reject Yahweh’s discipline and wisdom.

We must accept knowledge from others to add to our wisdom. We must live in The Word because it is alive and living itself. It will help build our character and help us be wise, not foolish.
