Proverbs 18:10 scripture image

  • What is going on in these verses?
    • Proverbs describe the importance of living wisely and in the fear of the Lord as opposed to following the alluring path of foolishness. Proverbs offers a spiritual depth to issues like managing money, the dangers of adultery, learning how to identify true friends, and so much more. Here you’ll find wisdom that works and insights that won’t wear out.
    • In Hebrew culture, a name was not a mere label, but usually an expression of the character of a person. God’s covenant name, “Lord,” is associated with His character as Savior of His people.
    • The strong fortress that offers security for the righteous (the saints of the Lord) is based on God’s character as a faithful Savior.
  • What is God’s word saying?
    • What an awesome comfort it is to be in the hands of a mighty strong fortress of the LORD (Yahweh).
    • His name alone offers this righteousness when we believe and speak His name, LORD (Yahweh).
    • Wise saints run to HIM for safety.
      • I consider myself one of Yahew’s saints. I seek HIM and HIS safety. I run to HIM, not the world. What about you?
    • I accept and believe Yaweh’s as my savior. God’s covenant name, “Lord,” is related to God’s character as my faithful Savior (Jesus, the Messiah). Afterall, God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are all one in the same person, in three parts; God the immortal Godhead, Jesus the Son of man-human, and the supernatural being, the Holy Spirit who indwells our bodies. Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit, found in scripture.

I love the hymn related to this scripture: A Mighty Fortress is our God.

Prayer: Thank You, dear Yahweh, LORD GOD, for being my savior and a might fortress to protect me and keep me safe. I pray this for the readers here and lost souls to seek You and be saved in Your Name. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Blessed Assurance

God assures us of His purpose and intentions. Why do we not trust Him? Why do we not believe what He says? I'll tell you one reason; untrusting. Why are we untrusting? Hint: believing lies of the devil. Stop it! The devil only brings misery. Stop living a miserable existence. Don't get me wrong, believing the One true God isn't all sprinkles, skittles, & m&ms. Sometimes we have to suffer a bit to be blessed. We have to go through good and bad and have faith God will see us through. We need to have faith in Him; in His Mercy & Grace! I challenge you to stop believing the lies fed to you by the devil and start believing the truth of God. Share your experience. Bless us & you will be blessed.

The Magnificat: Mary’s Song of Praise

Here’s Mary; just arriving at her cousin’s place. Instead of being exhausted from her 2 or 3 days journey, she is excited and sings a song of praise.

There are some speculations as to what the lyrics refer to. However, I believe they refer to past prophecy being fulfilled leading up to this moment in time. It’s referring to our Saviour, the Messiah, Jesus. I trust the word of God over bickering theologians trying to assert their authority.

Like Mary, I’d exert excitement as well. I’d be humbled; especially that I would’ve been chosen to carry and give birth to the Lord in human form to fulfill what had been taught over the generations about a messiah coming to save us all.

Mary was also filled with the Holy Spirit. God is using her, as well as Elizabeth, as part of the narrative of the coming Messiah, Jesus. The Saviour of the world. God uses each of you for His great plan.

Isn’t that exciting? What are your thoughts on this? What does this scripture and story say to you? Me? I shared in the above, previous paragraphs. God is so amazing.

Dear Heavenly Abba Yah, I lift up each of the readers of this blog. I pray that they will be blessed and recognize You in their day to day lives. I pray that they accept the gift You’ve given us, Jesus, the Messiah. I thank You for Your workings in and through our lives, every day. In Jesus’ name, amen.

The New Guidance Counselor

The Father is the only one with ultimate authority to decide dates and times. So, we need to stop pushing our timeline onto Yahweh.

We need to seek guidance from The Holy Spirit. When we accept Him He enters our spirit. We receive power from Him.

What power? You ask?

The same power who raised the dead to life, the same power that made the lame to walk, the same power that made the blind to see. 

With that same power we can fight off Satan in Jesus’ name. The name above all names. Satan shutters and his teeth nash, and he falls to the ground when we call on the name of Jesus.

I’m mind blown at the very thought of this! It’s way beyond awesome. The Holy Spirit goes to battle for us. We read about that earlier. When we praise and worship Yahweh He wins the battles for us. We only need to trust and obey Him!

Will you trust and obey Him, now? Leave all your worries and burdens with Him. Praise & worship Him, and trust and obey Him. 

I’ve seen great things happen in my life when I do! You can as well! Be Blessed!

Me: One major miracle in 2009. It was a multi-faceted one. Yahweh was working in my husband at the very same time He was working in me. I was delivered from fibromyalgia and a mindset rework happened. Yahweh, at the same time, did a mindset rework in my husband about some sin in his life. In all that, saved our marriage. I was days away from losing my marriage. The plan was already in place and had begun when Yahweh shook it up and stopped it from happening. Things are about the get shook up again, I can see it coming, like a storm in the distance! Please, pray for us.

Healing in Peace

Our struggles come because we are selfish. Yahweh desires to cure us, His children, of our greed and selfishness. And Yahweh says that as His children we are not to be part of the problem but part of the solution.

It is a smart one who steps in and says, “I’m sorry.” It might seem that there is always one who’s the first to say it, but Jesus noted that true peacemakers are prepared to swallow pride to heal the wounds.

Let’s face it, there are times when we want what we want when we want it, our way.

Human nature is selfish. But, with the Holy Spirit’s help, we can overcome it. We can have peace. We can be healed. We can be healed through peace.

These waters represent the gospel of Christ, that went forward from Jerusalem, and dispersed into the countries around; also the gifts and powers of the Holy Spirit that came along with it, by the moral excellence that is spread far, and imparted joyous effects. Christ is the Temple, and He is the Door; from Him, the living waters flow, out of His punctured side. They are expanding waters. Watch the growth of the gospel in the world, and the transformation of the work of grace in the heart; tend to the movements of the blessed Spirit under Divine direction.

If we search into the things of Yahweh, we find some things plain and easy to be realized. It is wisdom, to begin with, one that is very easy ere we continue to such that is vague and hard to be understood. The promises of the holy word, and the rights of believers, as scattered in foreign lands in their souls by the arousing Spirit, overflow where the gospel is preached; they feed and gladden the souls of men; they never dim or shrink, nor are consumed. Even the leaves of the plants work as remedies to the soul: the warnings and admonitions of the word, though less comfortable than Divine compassions, lead to healing the diseases of the soul. All who believe in Christ, and are united to him by his sanctifying Spirit, will share the privileges of Israelites. There is room in the church, and in heaven, for all who seek the blessings of that new covenant of which Christ is Mediator.

All who believe in Christ, and are joined to Him by His Holy Spirit, will share the rights of Israelites. There is room in the church, and in heaven, for all who search for the blessings of that new covenant relating to that, Christ is Mediator.

Note: If we want to be healed we need to search for and follow after Christ. We must allow the Holy Spirit to flow through us, like the healing waters. Such amazingness comes from it. Don’t you want to experience His awesomeness?

The Power Within

There’s a contemporary Christian singer who sings of this power. This power, The Holy Spirit takes up residence in us.

With The Holy Spirit within us, we can allow Him to be our Helper. He brings us peace. There’s no need to be troubled or afraid.

The Holy Spirit comforts us also when we do come into troubles. The Helper is our teacher and guide in life. We know these things because we have The Word, living and among us, that tells us.

With The Helper, The Holy Spirit, within us, we can block out the lies of satan. We have the victory today. Do you believe? Will you believe?

I’ve been in the headspace where I was fighting the enemy under my own steam. I’ve had nightmares fighting demons. Under my own steam, it’s a losing battle. With Yahweh in control, I stopped having nightmares and my anxiety is under control.

Proverbs 1:18-19
But these people set an ambush for themselves;
they are trying to get themselves killed.
Such is the fate of all who are greedy for money;
it robs them of life.

As you saw in the video, the guy ambushed himself and is stuck in the vault.

Proverbs 21:26
Some people are always greedy for more, but the godly love to give!

Greed is a sin like other sins. It consumes its victim. Before you know it a life is completely taken over trying to get more because it is never enough.

God wants us to be givers, not takers. Just like the scripture above says the godly love to give. We all hear the famous saying each year around this time: “It’s better to give than to receive”. We can find its roots in Acts 20:35:

And I have been a constant example of how you can help those in need by working hard. You should remember the words of the Lord Jesus: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.'”

We need to follow Jesus and be more Christ-like.

So, during this joyous season of Christmas let’s be givers; not just takers.
